TSEPWin Utilities

The following two utilities, Two-Way Stratification and Null-Checker are used with TSEPWin to accomplish tasks best done outside TSEPWin. Two-Way  is incorporated into TSEPWin 5 but is required for two-way stratification using earlier versions of TSEPWin.

Two-Way Stratification Utility (Updated April 23, 2007)

Sometimes it is necessary to stratify on a categorical variable in addition to the invoice amount. is known as a two-way stratification. is easy to do a two-way stratification using TSEPWin and the Two-Way Stratification Utility using the following steps:

  1. Create a parent folder for the audit.
  2. Create a sub-folder for each categorical variable inside the parent folder.
  3. Separate the invoice file by category and store each part in its own folder.
  4. Run TSEPWin on each categorical file and select the sample.
  5. Complete the audit on each categorical variable.
  6. Run TSEPWin on the audit results for each categorical variable. The results will be stored in the categorical variable folders.
  7. Run the Two-Way Stratification Utility to combine the categorical variable results.

Acceptance Sampling Design

Acceptance Sampling Design is a program that provides a Wald-type sequential acceptance sampling plan based on user input parameters (producer's risk, consumer's risk, two quality levels, one at which the probability of acceptance is relatively high and the other at which the probability of acceptance is relatively low).  output is a table with sample sizes and decision points. graph of the plan is also presented.
